Cigarette Bins

For the first study, we were contacted via the internet to see if we could bring a customers ideas to life. A meeting was arranged for the following day to go through the customers requirements and expectations. To our delight the customer turned up with a cardboard model of their requirement which was a great starting point.

We took the cardboard unit away and with points discussed in the meeting produced 3d models on Solid Works which was sent over to the customer in a 3D pdf which is able to be viewed on any computer.

Once everyone was happy with the models a prototype unit was produced to go out into the field for product evaluation and customer feedback.

Whilst in the field the product was evaluated and modified to suit all requirements and the final version was produced for full production

Forecourt Cabinets

Contact was made via recommendation as the client was having issues with forecourt emergency cabinets corroding in the field within 18 Months. We where invited to their manufacturing facility to go through the current designs and upgrade requirements.

On first viewing the existing unit, It was found that no real water ingress protection (IP) had been considered and the design had fundamental flaws resulting in water traps, this led to areas around the doors corroding after only a short time after installation.

We were able to  draw from our work with Highways England to resolve the issues found on the unit.

Upgrades to the cabinet materials were suggested and implemented as well as improvements to the communications system to incorporate video calling and improved cable management within the unit. All water traps were removed from the design and all corners  fully welded to ensure the required IP rating for such a unit.

The cabinet has been redesigned, a prototype produced and is currently undergoing trials in the North of England.
